Kaileme was removed from his home at the age of 15. In the car ride to his new foster home, he expressed anxiousness about feeling out of place. His concerns were quickly forgotten when his foster family welcomed him with great love and acceptance. It took the two teenage boys in the home about 5 minutes to ask Kaileme to join their basketball game outside. Kaileme later stated that his foster family made him feel more like family then anyone ever did. His adoption was finalized at the age of 18. At Pathway, he is a testament to God’s love for every child in foster care, no matter what the circumstance.
