Johnny G. & Rosalia G.
Johnny & Rosalia G. have lived in the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley for the past 5 years. Johnny and Rosalia are both hard-working and active in their community and church.
The couple has many amazing qualities; compassion, loving and family-oriented. Johnny and Rosalia were blessed to foster a baby boy 3 years ago named Kody and they immediately wanted to provide a forever home for him. Two years later Kody’s 3 day old sister was placed in Johnny and Rosalia’s loving home and they are now a forever family.
Johnny and Rosalia feel truly blessed to have adopted both Kody and his sister Kaitlyn. The family enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and enjoy serving God as a family.
Kaileme
Kaileme was removed from his home at the age of 15. In the car ride to his new foster home, he expressed anxiousness about feeling out of place.
His concerns were quickly forgotten when his foster family welcomed him with great love and acceptance. It took the two teenage boys in the home about 5 minutes to ask Kaileme to join their basketball game outside. Kaileme later stated that his foster family made him feel more like family than anyone ever did. His adoption was finalized at the age of 18.
At Pathway, he is a testament to God’s love for every child in foster care, no matter what the circumstance.
Eva & Mike S.
In the summer of 2018, Eva & Mike S. took placement of a sibling set of 3 foster girls ranging from age 4-9. A few months later, the girls’ baby brother (age 2) was able to join them in Eva & Mike S. home. These children had already been placed into 2 resource homes prior to coming to Eva & Mike’s family.
They had experienced significant trauma, behavioral challenges, yet Eva & Mike welcomed them into their family with open arms. Eva & Mike’s older biological children were accepting, patient & loving with their new foster siblings.
In early 2020, Child Welfare called Pathway asking if this family would be open to taking placement of the foster children’s infant sibling that was being detained. Eva & Mike said “YES” very quickly. Soon, the foster siblings were united with their infant sibling who they had not seen since the baby was born. Currently, all the children graduated from their intensive therapeutic services programs and have blossomed.
In November 2020, Eva & Mike will be officially adopting 4 of the siblings with the adoption of the infant siblings soon to follow early in 2021.
