Social Work / Home Study Practitioner
Job description is to complete home studies/family evaluations for resource family applicants. The position will require interviewing of all family members, assessing/ mitigating, and writing an evaluation based on the interviews and collateral information received from the agency. Excellent rapport building skills, interviewing skills, and writing skills are required. A writing sample may be requested during the interview.
Person also participates as an afterhours on-call social worker on a mutually agreed upon schedule (one week a month). Family evaluation assessments for resource and adoptive families required. A detailed job description can be provided upon request. Current positions are available in Santa Maria/Lompoc, CA.

The position is for the Resource Family Approval Program in Northern Santa Barbara County. Interested persons must have a master’s degree in Social Work: With two years prior work experience in foster care, applicants with the following master’s degrees will be considered:
- Marriage, Family and Child Counseling,
- Counseling Psychology
- Clinical Psychology
- Social Psychology
- Child Psychology
- Child Development
- Educational Psychology
- Education with emphasis in Counseling
- Or other equivalent education and experience may be considered.
